This high-tech authentic simulator is based on a Boeing 737 Next Generation short to medium range narrow-bodied twin jet liner. To most of us this is the sort of aeroplane we use when we ly within the UK or to Europe. We are all familiar with the main cabin but this is your chance to get onto the flight deck.
With an experienced pilot by your side, you will be sitting in the left-hand seat and taking control of the flight.
With engines running; flight path plotted and co-ordinates entered into the onboard computer you will start to roll along the taxi way towards the runway in preparation for your flight.
After some general handling, we'll enter the circuit, initially using the automatic flight features of the aircraft. With each circuit we will then give you more and more things to control and co-ordinate. If you want even more of a challenge we can simulate bad weather or even an engine failure. You decide.
With the help of an experienced instructor you will find out what it feels like to pilot a passenger airliner, flying circuits at Newcastle International Airport or further afield. The choice is yours where you choose to fly.
Whether you choose to fly from Newcastle International Airport and fly over the local area or decide on a more challenging route from Heathrow or maybe another International Airport this will certainly be a flight to remember. We can even simulate bad weather or even an engine failure.
At the end you will recieve a certificate of achievement..
